Capsule Geology

The Reo 1-12 East occurrence is located on a small hill or knoll south of Troutline Creek and approximately 1.2 kilometres west-southwest of the creeks’ junction with Quartzrock Creek.

Regionally, the area is underlain by basaltic volcanic rocks of the Mississippian to Permian Slide Mountain Complex.

Locally, narrow quartz-veined zones, varying from 0.01 to 1.00 metre wide, with pyrite are hosted in carbonate-altered basalts.

Work History

The area has been explored in conjunction with the Taurus (MINFILE 104P 012) occurrence and a complete exploration history can be found there.

In 1995, Cyprus Canada Inc. and Cusac Gold Mines Ltd. completed six diamond drill holes on the area as the Reo 1-12 claims. Drilling yielded up to 1.09 and 2.52 grams per tonne gold over 8.0 and 3.85 metres in holes T95-17 and T95-11, respectively (Assessment Report 24275).
